Erica D'Arcangelo

Erica D’Arcangelo is a storyteller, author, and content creator with a passion for weaving narratives that reflect her Italian heritage and cultural roots. Through her passion for creating viral content for her family’s pizzeria, D’Arc’s Pizza, which opened in 1960, Erica wrote and published her debut book, A Story About Pizza, in August of 2024. This historical fiction novel delves into the life of her grandfather, an Italian immigrant and coal miner with dreams of opening a pizzeria. It became an Amazon #1 best-seller in three categories, including Gastronomy History, Pizza Making, and Italian Cooking. On National Pizza Day, Erica released the first book in a twelve-book children’s series exploring Italian culture, food, and the art of pizza-making, called Pietro’s Pizza. The second book in the series, titled Pietro’s Pizza Toppings, was published on the 24th of July of 2025 and the third book, Pietro’s Italian Christmas in November 2025.

Erica’s stories reflect her experiences growing up Italian, with a deep sense of family, culture, and food—values that are central to her writing and creative work. She is now working on her first novel in a series with the working title, My Big Loud Italian Christmas.

Erica is also the host of the Pizza Story Podcast, where she interviews family-owned pizzerias, pizza industry thought leaders, and guests with rich backgrounds in Italian culture.
